90-year-old man taken to hospital after crash in Sidmouth

A 90-year-old man was taken to hospital after a crash in Sidmouth High Street on Thursday morning.

Police were called to reports of a collision at around 10am on February 6, involving a pedestrian and a car.

The road was closed until 12.30pm and an injured pensioner taken to hospital.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said: “Police were called to reports of an road traffic collision on the High Street, Sidmouth, at around 10am this morning between a pedestrian and a car.

“A 90-year-old man has been taken to hospital. Injuries at this time do not appear to be serious.”
