Take a step back in history with Detention! in Tipton

The Tipton Players and Panto Society (TIPPS) is in Detention as the cast and crew’s first production of 2020 promises ‘something completely new’.

As these photographs show, rehearsals are well underway for Detention!  – written and compiled by Natalie Anning, directed by Natalie Anning and Claire Devin.

The story begins when the children at the village school are in detention, with history teacher ‘Boring Bolton’ in charge.

History comes to life for the children as Boring Bolton talks of times gone by.

For the audience there is plenty of historical re-enactments, songs, music and the commemoration of two world wars.

The show runs from Wednesday, February 19 until to Saturday, February 22 at 7.30pm, with a matinée on Saturday at 2.30pm.

Tickets are £9 for adults and £5 for children under-16, available through Tipton Village Store on Saturday mornings 9.30-10.30am, or online via  www.ticketsource.co.uk  (and search for TIPPS or Detention!).

The Tipton Players and Panto Society (TIPPS) is the result of a merger between The Tipton Players and the Tipton Panto Society in 2002.
