Surfware brand Saltrock has boosted a suicide bereavement support charity’s Exmouth shop – by donating six huge boxes of surplus stock.
Pete’s Dragons welcomed the brand-new clothing items at its Retail Therapy outlet in Rolle Street.
It says such generous acts are helping the fledgling store go from strength to strength, with proceeds aiding hundreds of grieving families across Devon.
The gift came from Saltrock in Bideford.
Pete’s Dragons CEO Alison Jordan said: “We were delighted when Saltrock contacted us with the offer of donating brand-new surplus goods to our Exmouth shop.
“We have designed our first shop with the customer experience at its heart, giving it a boutique feel with high-quality donations and new goods at extremely reasonable prices.
“The stock from Saltrock will enhance that experience and also help raise funds to enable Pete’s Dragons to continue its much-needed work within the community of Devon.”
A Saltrock spokesperson said: “After being made aware of the wonderful support Pete’s Dragons gives to those suffering from loss, we were more than happy to provide donations to their first shop.”
Retail Therapy, which opened in May, is Pete’s Dragons’ first-ever shop and offers a mix of pre-loved and new goods.
The outlet is helping provide sustainability for the fast-growing charity, which supports hundreds of families and individuals affected by suicide across Devon.
