Budleigh Salterton Library is holding a host of talks and events throughout January.
Jane Cordy, library supervisor at Budleigh, said the activities have been organised as part of Devon Libraries Active Life, Active Mind month and all events are free, apart from seated yoga.

The Budleigh Woolpack is holding its monthly meeting. For keen knitters and crochet enthusiasts. Drop in, knit and chat or just collect some yarn hooks, needles and patterns. The idea behind this group is to create colourful throws for local charities, groups and individuals.

Avoiding Falls and Hospitalisation. Free talk by Home Instead, Senior Care offering tips and techniques to optimise your safety at home.

Lego Club. Why should children have all the fun! Bring an adult along to Lego Club this morning and let them have a go at building something fantastic.

Seated Yoga with Samantha from the Budleigh Hub. Come along for some relaxing, gentle seated exercise. Book early as space is limited. Costs £2 for a 45-minute session.

Singing for Wellbeing. Singing is really good for your health and wellbeing, as well as being a fun and friendly group activity. Naomi will be leading today’s singing session. She runs regular sessions at the Budleigh Hub.

Staying Nourished. Free talk by Home Instead, Senior Care on the importance of good nutrition, especially as we get older.

Cancer Research UK, Free talk by staff from Cancer UK who AREN’T scientists but can explain about work being done locally and nationally by this wonderful charity.
