Honiton’s former tourist information centre could be turned into cafe

Honiton’s former tourist information centre could be turned into a café or restaurant.

A planning application has been submitted to East Devon District Council which seeks permission for a change of use.

The applicant wants the go ahead to switch the building from business use to ‘restaurants and cafes’, along with ‘hot food and takeaways’.

A question mark has hung over the future of the building, located on the short stay car park at Lace Walk.

Honiton Town Council’s planning committee will consider the application at a meeting next week.

The district council will make the final decision.
