Police warning after tractor GPS devices are stolen in Budleigh Salterton and Ottery St Mary

Police have issued a warning after crooks swiped GPS devices for tractors in Budleigh Salterton and Ottery St Mary.

A total of four Starfire systems were stolen from locations in the two towns overnight on Saturday, December 7.

Two more had previously been taken in the early hours of Wednesday, December 4, in Crediton.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said today (Monday): “Please be wary of this, review security, and make a note of your GPS serial numbers and mark them in some way if possible.

“Please report any suspicious activity on 999 and if possible make a note of vehicle registrations and persons seen.”

Anyone with information, or who has been offered a GPS system, has been urged to call 101, or email 101@dc.police.uk, quoting crime reference number CR/110481/19.
