River Clyst flood warning issued by the Environment Agency

A flood warning has been issued by the Environment Agency (EA) for the River Clyst as Sunday’s scattered showers swell already high water.

The EA is urging people to take care near flooded stretches around the River Clyst, saying further rain could affect low-lying areas or roads.

A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said conditions were being monitored: “The weather forecast is for scattered showers on Sunday

“As river levels are already high, further rain may result in flooding to low lying land and roads.

“It is likely that river levels will remain high over this time.

“Take care near the areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions.”
