Cold callers targeting homes in Colyton, Seaton, Dalwood and Musbury

Police have issued an alert this morning following reports of cold callers knocking on doors in rural areas of East Devon.

PCSO Chris Bolsover says reports have come from Colyton, Seaton, Dalwood and Musbury, with rural areas among the most targeted.

“Not everyone who calls at your door may be a genuine caller, so you should always be on your guard,” he said.

“Devon and Cornwall Police advise that you do not let anyone into your property who comes to your door uninvited or without a prior appointment.”
