Trailers among items stolen by crooks targeting farms and rural communities

Trailers, agricultural equipment and plant machinery have been stolen from farms and rural locations in East Devon over the past week.

Now PCSO Bolsover, of Axminster Police, has urged potential victims to ‘please be vigilant and ensure that your property is protected’.

In an alert issued by Devon and Cornwall Police, he said: “If you notice anything suspicious, or if you have any information about these crimes, please notify the police via 101, either on the phone or email – 101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk.

“Remember crime prevention is everyone’s responsibility.”

If you see any suspicious people or vehicles around your land or building, contact police.

They want to hear about it, including persons looking for scrap or batteries.

Police also want any business cards suspicious people may hand out.
