Over 100 vehicles stopped by police in operation at Sidford

More than 100 vehicles were stopped by police during an operation on the A3052 at Sidford.

Devon and Cornwall Police conducted the traffic operation on November 26, the East Devon Rural Policing Team reported today.

Eight of the stopped motorists were issued with tickets for offences such as speeding and having no MOT.

In addition, drugs were found and seized in one incident and one arrest was made in another. Words of advice were issued to a number of other drivers in relation to speed and lights.

Police say similar operations have been undertaken recently across East Devon and that they will continue.
