Man dies after collision on farmland near Sidmouth

A man has died following a single vehicle collision on farmland near Sidmouth, police have confirmed.

The fatally injured man has not been named but was aged 73 and local to the area.

No other vehicles or persons were involved in the collision, which happened in the Salcombe Regis area yesterday afternoon (November 25).

Emergency services were called at 5.50pm and police have said the incident involved a John Deere Gator all-terrain vehicle.

Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Alliance roads policing officers attended the scene and carried out a forensic collision investigation and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

“Police would like to pass on their thanks to the ambulance and fire services for their help at the scene.”
