WIN! Ticket giveaway for the Westcountry Equine Fair

Horse lovers in their hundreds are gearing up for the annual Westcountry Equine Fair, at Westpoint, Clyst St Mary, Exeter, taking place this year on Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8.

All you have to do is answer a simple question about this year’s activity-packed event – now in its 24th year -showcasing The Best of the West.

The 2019 equine extravaganza boasts an array of master classes, competitive events and training methods from people in the West of England.

The organisers say the West Country has some ‘amazing’ equestrian stars and they will be celebrated at their local event.

The annual Westcountry Equine Fair takes place at Westpoint, Clyst St Mary, Exeter, on Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8, from 9am until 5pm.

This year’s celebration of all-things equestrian will feature show jumper Andrew Williams, dressage rider Louise Hutchinson, Western Riding and The Horse Place (Parelli) with Sue Edwards.

The popular competitive events make a welcome return, including the horse and hound Pony Club challenge and the junior show jumping competition.

Back by popular demand, and in its third year, is the unaffiliated Quadrille competition,  combining riding skills and colourful costumes

The breed village and heavy horse area returns, plus the BETA Equestrian Knowledge Zone, featuring Robocob the mechanical horse, free hat and body protector checks and lots of advice from top experts – so there really is something for everyone.
