Working for yourself shouldn’t mean working by yourself – especially when it comes to Christmas celebrations. That is the view of The Lighthouse, Sidmouth.
It is inviting local home workers, freelancers, entrepreneurs and those running their own business to an office Christmas lunch described as ‘a cut above the usual’.
“Having been self-employed since 2003, I know how lonely you can feel at Christmas,” says co-founder of The Lighthouse, Cathy Debenham. “Everyone else has stories to tell about the fun (and the horrors) of their office Christmas party.
“This year there’s no need for sole workers to feel left out. The Lighthouse Christmas lunch will be a super festive afternoon, with the chance to catch up with old friends and to meet new ones. When micro business people get together all sorts of sharing of knowledge, mutual support and possibly even passing of business occurs – even during the festive season.”
Cathy adds: ”We’ve booked a private dining room at The Bedford Hotel, with a delicious three–course lunch and plenty to drink – all included in the price. There are just 18 places, so make sure you book your place today to secure your place. And do encourage a self-employed friend to come along too.”
The £49.99 price includes:
- Private Dining Room at The Bedford Hotel on Sidmouth seafront
- Glass of Prosecco on arrival
- Half a bottle of wine per person, plus beers and soft drinks
- Sumptuous three-course meal with all the trimmings
- Tea or coffee after
Cathy says the party is a great chance to meet fellow Sid Valley business owners in a relaxed setting.
The party is taking place on Friday, December 13 at at 1pm. For further information contact Cathy Debenham, firstname.lastname@example.org tel: 07786 440129
