Exmouth inshore lifeboat was tasked to search for a missing man in the early hours of Saturday morning, October 4.
The inshore lifeboat, George Bearman II, launched at 2.29am after a report a man had gone missing from the Sandy Bay area.
The lifeboat crew returned to Exmouth shortly before 3am after the man was found safe and well.
An Exmouth RNLI spokesman said: “Exmouth RNLI inshore lifeboat George Bearman II was alerted following a report of a man who had gone missing from the Sandy Bay area.
“The lifeboat, helmed by Henry Mock and volunteer crew Guy Munnings and Charles Swales, launched at 2:41am and immediately commenced a search of the area.
“Two HM Coastguard cliff rescue teams were also alerted.
“The crew were stood down at 2:48am when the man was found safe and well.”
