The Environment Agency has lifted flood alerts for areas across most of East Devon. Yesterday, it said it had deployed staff to clear blockages from waterways.
The alerts advised people in affected areas to be prepared for possible flooding after days of rain. Road users were also being urged to exercise caution.
Low lying land near rivers were cited as at risk of flooding.
However, alerts have now been lifted from the rivers Axe, Otter and Sid.
Elsewhere in Devon, nine flood warnings remain in place along with 11 flood alerts.
