Budleigh Salterton’s former Lloyds Bank will be transformed into homes, a shop and restaurant – if a planning application is successful.
Proposals for 8 Fore Street were revealed today (Friday) – but scant detail is included with the blueprints.
Applicant Mr S Thornywork has asked East Devon District Council (EDDC) for planning permission to redevelop the building to create four new apartments.
A change of use is also sought for the ground floor of the premises to be used for A1 and A3 purposes.
In planning terms, A1 use comprises shops that could be anything ranging from a post office or hairdressers to a kitchen showroom.
A3 use incorporates restaurants and cafes.
No further details of the application are known at this stage.
Lloyds – Budleigh’s last remaining full-time bank – closed in January.
