Fire crews damping down after blaze in three storey Exeter building

Fire crews are damping down following a blaze in a three storey dwelling in Exeter.

Emergency services were called to an address in the Farm Hill area of the city at 1.19pm.

Three fire engines and one aerial ladder platform attended the scene.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said:  “Upon arrival, this was found to be a three storey dwelling with smoke issuing from the second floor.

“Crews got to work immediately with two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.

“The fire is now all but out and crews are dampening down.”

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
