Safer pedestrian access proposed for Woodbury Salterton business park

Plans have been unveiled for a new footpath to improve pedestrian safety at Greendale Business Park in Woodbury Salterton.

An application received by East Devon District Council explains the footpath would run adjacent to the main estate road.

If given the green light, the new facility will provide pedestrian access from the A3052 in Sidmouth Road to the centre of the business park.

The plan has been devised to provide workers at businesses on the park safer access to bus routes operated by Stagecoach.

In its application, F W S Carter And Sons Ltd said the bus company had stated it was not possible to run services onto the estate.

However, passengers could be picked up at the business park’s junction with Sidmouth Road.

The district council is currently waiting for responses from consultees before determining the application.
