Police arrested a man for being drunk and disorderly in Exmouth town centre on Saturday and warned three others over their behaviour.
Officers were called to a disturbance outside the Co-op, in the Magnolia Centre, on Saturday afternoon, where they made one arrest and issued warnings under the Public Spaces Protection Order.
Inspector Antonia Weeks, at Exmouth police, said: “Last Saturday afternoon police were called to disturbance outside the Co-op in the Magnolia Centre in Exmouth.
“One man was arrested for being drunk and disorderly in a public place and three others were warned for their behaviour under the Public Spaces Protection Order.
“This order prohibits harassing or intimidating behaviour and gives police and other authorised officers the power to request the surrender of alcohol or intoxicating substances.
“Failure to comply is an offence.”
