Bluebird Care Exmouth team head to the beach – to pick up litter!

Exmouth’s Bluebird Care team headed to the beach after work on Tuesday – to clear it of rubbish.

The volunteer litter pickers were joined by colleagues from East Devon and Exeter, customers and members of the public.

After an hour of combing the beach, Ocean rewarded the collectors of the biggest bag of rubbish with a meal for four.

Bluebird Care Exmouth Hub manager Frankie Rowe said: “It’s not only important to look after our community, which is our day-to-day job, but we are here doing extra time to look after our environment.

“Something that our whole community care about, we’ve had a lot of people turn up today, and we are really pleased.”

Following the success of the event, the Bluebird team is now planning more beach cleans – and is inviting members of the public to join in.
