Charity ball will aid East Devon’s Hospiscare@Home service

Buying a ticket for a charity ball in aid of Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare will make a difference to the wishes of terminally-ill people being cared for in their homes across East Devon.

Funds from the charity ball, on Friday, September 20, at Woodbury Park Hotel, will support East Devon’s Hospiscare@Home service – round-the-clock, personalised, end-of-life nursing care while staying at home.

Live music performed by The Fab Beatles, an interactive Mirror Me selfie booth, plus a three-course meal and glass of fizz on arrival are all included in the £45 ticket price, for each person.

The charity ball is being organised by Charlotte Stubbings, of Lime Grove, Brixington, Exmouth, who hopes the event will raise funds and awareness of the charity.

She said: “I hope whatever we raise is going to make a difference. The more we raise the better.

“People don’t realise that Hospiscare isn’t just about the patients, it’s about the other people that are affected and continue to be once the patient has passed away.”
