They have performed in the Royal Albert Hall and at Proms in the Park, and now Maesteg and District Male Voice Choir is all set to sing at The Beehive in Honiton.
The Welsh singers, who have accompanied the likes of award-winning soprano Rebecca Evans, will be in Honiton on Saturday, September 21.
From the Llynfi Valley, the choir was founded in 1974 and counts the House of Commons and the Millennium Stadium in Wales among the venues it has appeared in – not to mention at rugby matches.
The concert in Honiton is in aid of charity WHERE (Westcountry Health Education and Research Enterprise). A South West-based organisation, it helps vulnerable adults integrate with the local community through full and active social lives.
After the concert, event organisers hope to stage a traditional ‘Afterglow’ in the Beehive Bar – an impromptu sharing when the choir, pint in hand, relax and sing in an informal setting.
Tickets for the 7.30pm event are on sale now at £12.50 each and include allocated seating and a 30p admission fee.
