Female trapped in single vehicle collision on A35 at Offwell

A female was trapped following a single vehicle collision on the A35 at Offwell this afternoon.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the crash occurred near Windmill Garage at 3.17pm.

Firefighters from Honiton, Ottery St Mary and Colyton, together with a heavy rescue vehicle from Middlemoor, attended the scene.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: “On arrival, crews confirmed this incident involved one vehicle with one person still trapped.

“Crews got to work with rescue equipment to release one female who was physically trapped.”

Following her release, the casualty was placed in the care of the ambulance service. Her condition is not known.
