Western Power Distribution apologises for power cut in Honiton

Western Power Distribution has apologised for a power cut that affected properties in Honiton this morning.

It has reported: “Power is now back on in Honiton and surrounding areas. We are sorry for any problems caused by the power cut this morning.”

The company had hoped to have power restored by 8.30am but later said it was likely to be 9.30am before all affected properties were able to access electricity.

Residents report traffic lights not working in Dowell Street and motorists are urged to approach with caution.
