Shed severely damaged in Exmouth fire

A garden shed in Exmouth was severely damaged by fire in the early hours of this morning, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service has said.

Emergency services received a call at around 5am reporting a blaze in Greenpark Road.

It was quickly established the fire was in the garden of a property.

One fire appliance from Exmouth was sent to the scene.

A fire service spokesperson said: “On arrival crews confirmed a fire involving a garden shed. Crews got to work extinguishing the fire using one hose reel jet and small tools.

“The fire caused severe damage to the shed and an area of adjacent fencing.”

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
