Praise for green-fingered family supporting Honiton’s Admiral Nurse

There are many ways to support your favourite charity and the Butler family in Honiton have been working hard to raise funds for the town’s Admiral Nurse.

Green-fingered Roderick and Valentine Butler love their beautiful garden and sell vegetables and plants from a table at the gates of their antique showroom at the top on Honiton Hight Street.

The couple’s son, Humphrey, designs popular adventure maps, which can be purchased directly from the showroom with a donation from each sale going to Honiton Admiral Nurse.

To date, this generous family have raised £951.82 for the fund – and the money keeps on coming.

You can contribute to the cause and enjoy some delicious veg with zero food miles. Pop up and have look at the table that is kept stocked up, sometimes even two or three times a day.

Heather Penwarden, Chairman of Honiton Dementia Action Alliance, warmly praised the Butler family for all their support for Honiton Admiral Nurse.

She said: “Not only are they raising valuable funds to support local families living with dementia but they are also providing a great service in supplying us with such wonderful home grown vegetables and plants.”
