‘Step up’ and be part of Honiton’s bid to be carbon neutral by 2030

Efforts to make Honiton a carbon neutral town by 2030 will get under way next week.

Councillor Caroline Kolek will be liaising with town clerk Mark Tredwin on the terms of reference for a new working group.

The Honiton Carbon Neutral 2030 Working Group seeks to involve people from across the town – not just councillors and public bodies.

On social media today, Councillor Kolek urged people to get in touch and play their part. She said: “We all need to step up.”

Honiton Town Council declared a climate emergency at its full meeting earlier this month – prompted by a member of the public and reports from both Cllr Kolek and the town clerk

If you are interested in getting involved with the working group, contact the town council office on 01404 42957.
