A new football season begins for Honiton Town FC tomorrow (Saturday, August 10) with an opening South West Peninsula League Premier East match at Brixham.
As is the case with Town, owing to them sharing the Mountbatten Park facilities with Honiton Cricket Club, they must play their early league fixtures away.
The cricket club uses the ground until the first Saturday in September.
Town are also in action this coming Monday (August 12) when they travel to Mid Devon to take on Crediton United and they also travel next Saturday (August 17) when they are at Dartmouth.
A third away game in four early season outings follows with an East Devon derby at home to Axminster Town on Wednesday, August 21.
Honiton Town FC, who are starting a third season in the South West Peninsula League, have yet to win an opening day fixture.
Last season, they began their campaign with a 1-0 defeat at Elmore and, the season before they went down 3-1 at Crediton United.
