Firefighters in Honiton responded to seven automatic fire alarms during July. In total, crews from the station attended a total of 32 incidents during the month.
In figures shared online, the station said it responded to five domestic fires, three fires in the open, three vehicle fires, and two road traffic collisions. It assisted the Command Support Unit eight times, and carried out two ‘minor releases’.
Other incidents dealt with included an agricultural fire and one standby call-out.
So far this year, the station has attended 150 incidents.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service is currently carrying out a public consultation over proposed changes that could impact the way the station and its two fire engines are crewed.
