Exmouth RNLI rescues injured woman from incoming tide

A woman who slipped and dislocated her hip as she was rock pooling on Exmouth beach on Monday morning was rescued by the RNLI.

Exmouth RNLI said the inshore lifeboat crew launched at 10.45am on Monday, July 29, following a report of an injured woman on the water’s edge, with an incoming tide.

Exmouth’s inshore lifeboat crew gave the casualty care and painkillers.

An Exmouth RNLI spokesman said: “The crew were assisted by the Coastguard rescue team and ambulance, who conveyed the injured person to hospital for further treatment.”
