Over 850 entries for livestock classes at Honiton Show

Preparations for Honiton Show are reaching fever pitch – and entries for the livestock classes have today (Sunday) been confirmed as exceeding 850.

Show secretary Marcelle Conner told East Devon News.co.uk that more than 600 sheep will compete and in the region of 250 cattle.

Considered one of the biggest one-day agricultural shows in the country, Honiton Show is where farming always comes first. And livestock remains a key ingredient through the show’s well-supported farms competitions.

Expected to attract in the region of 20,000 visitors between 8am and 6pm on Thursday (August 1), the event is the highlight of the local farming calendar.

It is also one of the biggest and best days out in Devon

Advance tickets can be purchased at Stags, Everys and RKL Home and Garden in Honiton.
