Bowlers have had a busy time in Honiton over the past week, hosting two friendly matches and a league game. A team of bowlers also played away at Feniton.
In the first friendly, Honiton hosted the Plymouth and District Men’s Tour.
After a week’s bowling, the men were on fine form – Plymouth winning (108 – 79). Top rink for Honiton were: V Kille, D Linley, J Mackintosh, G Stafrace (17 – 14).
The other friendly match was a mixed game played at home against Tiverton Park, Honiton winning (88-65). Top rink: R Richards, A Hamilton, R Vincent (24 – 13)
Honiton further hosted Seaton at home in this week’s East of Exe League match. Honiton won on all four rinks with a final score (88 – 52). Top rink: M Critchley, J Smith, G Richards, T Lambert (31 – 6)
In the Men’s Exeter and District over-60s triples League, Honiton A team played Feniton Hawks away at Feniton. In a close match, Honiton lost (27 – 30) – gaining 2 points to Feniton’s 6.
