Reports of a toddler on the beach with breathing difficulties triggered Exmouth RNLI to launch the inshore lifeboat.
Exmouth inshore lifeboat, George Bearman II, launched to Dawlish Warren beach shortly after 2pm on Saturday, July 27, alerted by Solent Coastguard.
The lifeboat crew, Henry Mock, Sarah Beresford and Tim Barnes, attended the scene to assess a two-year-old child and administer casualty care.
An Exmouth RNLI spokesman said: “On their arrival it was established that the child had fully recovered and no further action was required.”
