Harris spot-on in Exmouth Town FC pre-season win

A pair of penalties from Jordan Harris and a double from substitute Dan Boere helped guide Exmouth Town FC to a 5-0 win at Bishops Lydeard in a pre-season friendly yesterday (Saturday, July 20).

Harris scored the only goal of a closely-contested first half, netting from the penalty spot a minute before the break.

In the second half, Boere scored twice and Jimmy Hinds also netted before Harris competed the scoring with a second successful spot-kick.

In an otherwise fine all-round performance – goalkeeper Chris Wright had an excellent game – there was one injury concern with last season’s Town Player of the Year, Aaron Denny, having to be helped from the pitch after a strong challenge from a Bishops Lydeard player.

Town are back in action this Wednesday (July 24) when they entertain an Exeter City XI at Southern Road (7.30pm).
