Fire fun day will benefit Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare

A day of family fun at the fire service HQ, Clyst St George, will benefit Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service (DSFRS) has named the cause as one of the charities to receive funds from its open day, on Sunday, July 21, from 10am-4pm, to be held at the fire service headquarters and station, in Clyst St George.

There will be entertainment, activities and fun for all ages; safety demonstrations, stalls, games, face painting, refreshments, children’s games, a bouncy castle, safety advice and the DSFRS band.

All are welcome.

Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare, in Highview Gardens, Withycombe Raleigh, started in 1987; it is part of a family of Hospiscare charities, and linked to the hospice in Exeter.

All services are provided free of charge; the charity fundraises with the support of the community to annually find more than £400,000 to pay for its specialist home nursing service.

The charity receives no government or NHS funding.
