Honiton will be pulling out all the stops next Saturday for Charter Day. Community groups are coming together to celebrate the rich history of the market and the prosperity it has brought to the town.
This year marks the 762nd anniversary of Honiton being granted a charter to hold a street market.
Among those supporting the annual event is St Paul’s Church. It is changing the theme of its usual Saturday coffee shop. For one day only, volunteers will be serving vintage teas.
That is not all. The church will be hosting bric-a-brac and book stalls and a chocolate tombola.
Honiton Charter Day is being staged on July 20 with events throughout the town centre and on Allhallows Playing Field.
Vintage teas will be served in the parish church from 9.30am to 3pm.
