Harris nets four as Exmouth Town FC ease to 6-0 pre-season victory over Sidmouth

Exmouth Town FC made a fine start to their pre-season competitive action as they brushed aside visiting Sidmouth Town, beating them 6-0 at Southern Road in a midweek evening contest.

A terrific turnout of 169 at Southern Road saw Kevin Hill’s men take a 12th-minute lead through a goal from last season’s leading scorer, Ace High.

The next four goals were all scored by Jordan Harris, who ran the visiting defence a merry dance for much of the first 45 minutes.

During the first half, Town fielded seven of last season’s regular first team and they went into the break with a 5-0 win.

In the second half, Town fielded a completely changed eleven and added one more goal, scored by one of a number of trialists on show, Dax Vincent.

That goal proved to be the final one of the night as Town, who dominated for almost the entire contest, ran out comprehensive 6-0 winners.

Exmouth Town FC have four more outings ahead of their opening Western League fixture, the Saturday, August 3, Southern Road meeting with Bridport.
