A man has died while sunbathing in Exmouth over the weekend, police have confirmed.
The air ambulance was seen landing on cliffs at Sandy Bay on Saturday afternoon, July 6, where paramedics performed CPR on a man in his 50s.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin were informed.
Officers said the death was not being treated as suspicious and a file was being prepared for the coroner.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Sandy Bay, Exmouth, at around half past three on Saturday.
“The ambulance service were concerned with a man in his 50s.
“Despite their efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
