This playful pod of dolphins was spotted on Sunday afternoon swimming alongside Exmouth RNLI’s lifeboat as it neared Maer Rocks.
Lifeboat volunteer Charlie Allen captured the footage of the dolphins accompanying the lifeboat in Lyme Bay, as the crew were on board the Shannon-class lifeboat, R and J Welburn.
Charlie’s footage shows dolphins swimming with the lifeboat, playing and and leaping out of the water as they keep up with the vessel.
Charlie said: “They stayed and played with us for a good ten minutes before we left them in our wake.”
