Elton John biopic Rocketman at The Beehive

Critically acclaimed film Rocketman will be screened at The Beehive, Honiton, later this month. The biopic of flamboyant singer-songwriter Elton John is rated 15 and is being screened over two evenings.

Rocketman follows Elton John’s early days and shows how he taught himself to play the piano at the tender age of four.

It charts the good, the bad and the ugly of his career, including his time as a rising star at the Royal Academy of Music.

A must-see for any Elton John fan, the movie takes you to the cusp of his emergence as an international superstar. It includes his musical parnership with Bernie Taupin and his breakthrough album Honkey Chateau, including the Rocketman track from which the film takes its name.

Be prepared for big hair, big shoes, big glasses, and even bigger songs.

Rocketman is being screened at 7.30pm on July 19 and 20. Tickets cost £6.80 for adults and £5.80 for those aged under 16.
