Pen and ink artist launches exhibition at Cocoon

A shop in High Street, Honiton, has an artist in residence all this week.

David Andrews,  a respected artist and illustrator with a unique style, opened his stint at Cocoon with the launch of an exhibition yesterday (Saturday). He will be drawing in the store every day until July 13.

The well-supported start of his time at the shop gave local residents and visitors a chance to see a wide variety of his works, crafted in pen and ink with a watercolour wash.

A professional artist, Mr Andrews gained a BA Honours Degree in 3D Design at Bath University.

He is best-known for his work incorporating text, birds and, quite often, clocks. He works to daily prompts as well as commissions.

Fun and inspiring, his drawings have both humour and meaning

Mr Andrews is passionate about British wildlife and intrigued by the concept of time – hence the representation of both in his works.

Based in Ilminster, Somerset, Mr Andrews will be at Cocoon during the shop’s opening hours – 10am to 5pm.
