Entry is free to the Ottery summer mini-fest, which promises live music and a day of fun and entertainment for all ages.
The summer fun afternoon, on Saturday, July 20, from 3pm until 6pm, at Ottery St Mary Primary School, in Longdogs Lane, and is open to all.
The event will be held on the school playing field, with entry through the gates on Yonder Street or Spring Gardens.
On the day there will be plenty of free activities and entertainment, such as live music, Taiko drummers, the chance to try your hand at circus skills, play in the Lego and games tents, listen to storytelling in the ampitheatre, woodland activities, Taekwondo demonstrations and Urban Flow street dancing.
There will be a bouncy castle, Wizzkids bikes obstacle course, face painting, hair braiding and goal scoring.
And do not forget your swim hat, bathing costumes and trunks if you fancy taking a dip.
Visit stalls selling cakes, candy floss, ice cream, pasties; there will be a bar, barbecue and raffle.
The day has been organized by the primary school’s parents and teachers to fund a new maths programme for UK classrooms, Power Maths, to spark excitement and curiosity for the subject.
