MPs are poised to support the Back British Farming campaign.
During a day-long event at Westminster on September 11, they will wear special badges to recognise the important role farmers play in the nation’s food production.
Organised by the National Farmers’ Union (NFU), the event aims to encourage the public to champion British food.
The NFU said: “The campaign aims to showcase the work farmers do every day to produce fantastic British food for the nation, and encourage the public to champion British food production.
“MPs will be wearing Back British Farming pin badges to show their support for the sector.”
