Car heaven can be found at Lympstone Manor in July as it revs up to host its annual Celebration of Speed with a display of top-of-the-rage supercars.
The event, on Wednesday, July 3, coincides with Lympstone Manor’s first music concert, 6pm until 11pm, held to mark award-winning chef Michael Caines’s 5oth birthday; the line-up includes singer-songwriter Steve Knightley, of Show of Hands, and Southwest party band, Bill Ding & Skyscrapers.
Supercars on show range from Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati, BMW, MINI, Jaguar and Landrover, from the Helston Garages Group, alongside McLaren, Aston Martin and Lamborghini. New to the display is Bridge Motorcycles.
From the track will be the ROKiT Williams Racing FW41 Formula One racing car designed to compete in the 2018 FIA Formula One World Championship; the car will be in this year’s brand new 2019 livery.
Alongside the FW41 will be the Williams Renault FW19 car from 1997; the FW19 was an evolutionary development which led onto Jacques Villeneuve winning the Drivers’ Championship.
Guest of Speaker at the 2019 Celebration of Speed is Rob Smedley, former head of performance at Williams Formula One and previously race engineer for Felipe Massa.
