Talks, computers and cakes at Honiton Library

There is plenty going on at Honiton Library over the coming weeks – from computer lessons for beginners to talks

On Wednesday, June 26, and on July 3 the library will host a free computer course for adults.

Tailored to meet the needs of beginners, the sessions are being run by Elite Training.

They aim to cover many topics, including how to use the internet. Other subject matter will include email, social media and technology.

Booking for the course is essential. Speak to a member of the library team to register or find out more.

Both sessions will run from 2pm to 4pm.

On Thursday, June 27, Philip Algar will be giving a talk in the library.

Organised by the Friends of Honiton Library, the subject is ‘My Life in Journalism’.

A light-hearted talk with anecdotes, it will take place from 2pm to 4pm.

There is a cost of £2.50 to attend this event.

Early next month, on July 5, the library will host a fund-raising coffee morning.

It will feature a tombola stall, craft table and homemade cakes. There will be a small charge for refreshments.

Taking place from 10am to noon, the event is being run by the Friends of Honiton Library.

A further talk is planned in September on the topic of Seaton Tramway.
