Star of stage and screen Alistair Brammer, from Exmouth, is joining the West End production of Wicked from July 2019.

Former Exmouth Community College student Alistair will join the principal cast at the Apollo Victoria Theatre from July 22, to play Fiyero, taking over from David Witts, who will play his final performance in the role on July 20.

Alistair’s love of acting began as a member of Exmouth’s Centre Stage theatre group; since then he has appeared on the BBC in 2007 on Any Dream Will Do, hoping to impress Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber to win the coveted lead role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

His West End credits include Les Miserables, Miss Siagon and War Horse.
In 2015 Alistair appeared in the long-running BBC1 television hit series Casualty as Holby City Hospital receptionist Jack Diamond.

Wicked is the ninth longest-running show in West End history; it is based on the novel by Gregory Maguire which imagines the backstory of the characters from L Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

The score, by Stephen Schwartz, includes the numbers Defying Gravity, For Good and Popular.

Tickets are now on sale.
