Boost for adult social care businesses

Businesses delivering adult social care in East Devon could benefit from a county-wide grants scheme to develop new services.

The Creative Innovation and Growth Grants Programme offers a wide range of benefits for those helping adults with care needs in the community.

With the emphasis on innovation, new services and and fresh ways of working, the programme is suitable for a wide range of eligible enterprises.

As well as delivering revenue and capital grants, the programme provides free business support.

If you are planning to provide additional services that take an innovative approach to adult social care, you could benefit from business-boosting support.

Leadership development activities are on offer to those enterprises meeting the criteria.

More social adult care services are required across the district, which has a high number of potential service users.

Currently, 24.6 per cent of East Devon’s population is aged between 65 and 84. A further 4.8 per cent are aged 85 and over.

In some areas of the country, micro provider schemes are being trialled. This involves single carers working for themselves and managing their own clients while receiving payment from local authorities or service users.

If you are a micro carer in East Devon, we would love to feature you.
