Preparations are in full swing for this year’s Axe Vale Show.
After a miserable end to spring, event organisers are looking forward to staging an event the whole family can get outdoors and enjoy.
This is a milestone year for the event which is celebrating is 25th anniversary.
Taking place on the showground in Axminster on June 22 and 23, attractions will include displays from Xtreme Falconry and M.A.D. bike stunt team.
Top displays will include vintage and retro antiques, the food hall, crafts, and flowers.
A large number of exhibitors are expected to take part in the two-day event.
For animal lovers, a farmyard show will feature sheepdog called Alfie, Mary, the Fairy-pig mother, and many more interesting characters.
A full programme of live music as well as a Punch and Judy Show also forms part of the entertainment.
Dog owners are encouraged to bring along their pet for the fun dog show.
Free parking will be available on-site. You can buy tickets for the Axe Vale Show on the day or benefit from a discount by purchasing them in advance from the show’s website.
Proceeds from the show benefit local good causes. Among those to benefit from previous show are the Flamingo Pool, Axminster Heritage, Cloakham Lawns Sports Centre and Chardstock Youth Club, to name just a few.
