Watch a free performance of The Royal Ballet’s Romeo and Juliet in Exmouth

Watch The Royal Ballet perform Romeo and Juliet for free

A live performance of The Royal Ballet’s Romeo and Juliet will be beamed direct to Exmouth from the Royal Opera House in June.
The ballet is a free event live-streamed from London’s Royal Opera House to the big screen at Exmouth’s Queen’s Drive space; live performances of Carmen and the Mozart opera, Marriage of Figaro, will be shown in July.
Tickets to the free-to-enter shows are available to book online.
The live-streamed shows are part of a new season of top line-up entertainment and fun for all the family, from now until September.
The outdoor space, on Exmouth seafront, was designed by East Devon District Council; attractions include a Jurassic-themed play park, food and drink stalls, plus an events’ area showing live performances, big screen films and live streamed shows from theatres across the UK.
The district council said the site will be open every weekend, Friday-Sunday and every day during school holidays.
Live music will be on site every Friday night from 5pm to 7pm.
The Royal Ballet’s Romeo and Juliet will be shown on Tuesday, June 11, 7.30pm; Carmen, Tuesday, July 2, at 7pm; The Marriage of Figaro, Tuesday, July 9, 7pm.
